Architectural study trip to UAE with a focus on the behind the scenes of the evolution of the nation. A destination that doesn’t need introduction but also offers the most value for experiencing the best minds in the industry for in-depth sessions, workshops and visits to construction sites.

In this journey, we will leave the tourist trail behind and indulge into the 3 emirates exploring culture, private projects and meeting the forces behind the evolution of design in the region.

To start off, we will explore the emirate of Abu Dhabi, seeking soul studying cultural projects commissioned. With leading local architects, we will have an exclusive experience of the philosophies of the magnificent landmarks. Abu Dhabi, the greener of the 3 emirates, is largely influenced by the founding ruler’s philosophy of conservation where we will also visit the leading research institute behind efforts for suitability and mitigation for climate change. After exploring  projects pushing this narrative with the local architect, Our experience will be complemented with exciting culture offerings in Theme Parks, religious sites,local museums and shopping experiences.

Heading east to the Emirates of Dubai, here we will reward our curiosity of why the emirates is a world leader in design. Meeting the local architects behind the scenes shaping the city into a design destination. We will visit two of the leading architectural offices, with architects drawn from all over the world and of different nationalities all converging here to express their design language.

To understand the evolution of design since the era of pearl diving, we will have a tour of the Dubai Museum to witness architecture before the discovery of oil. As an engineering topping, we will visit Emirates  engineering to learn the principles of maintaining one the largest aeroplanes and how technology is being adopted in the world. After experiencing the various business principles our journey will be full of enriching recreational activities such as Burj Khalifa, Dubai Opera, the eye etc.

Our journey will culminate at the neighbouring Emirates of  Sharjah with its rich traditional architecture where we will visit the school of architecture and design exploring the technology and teaching ideas. Here we will have a workshop with local students creating a collaborative project.
