Overview

A science and geography study trip to Madagascar provides an immersive learning experience that covers a wide range of academic disciplines, including biology, ecology, anthropology, and environmental science. Students can gain firsthand insights into the island’s unique biodiversity, conservation challenges, and cultural heritage, making it a transformative educational experience.

Madagascar is famous for its extraordinary biodiversity, with about 90% of its wildlife being endemic that has evolved for a long time after separating from the mainland Africa continent.

We will  visit nature reserves like Andasibe-Mantadia National Park to observe various lemur species, including the famous indri and sifakas. For our ecological understanding we will explore the iconic baobab trees which are a hallmark of Madagascar’s landscape, especially in the Avenue of the Baobabs.

In line with sustainable UN goals, we will learn about the ecotourism and conservation efforts for reforestation after losing large natural forests to economic activities. We will visit Ranomafana National Park  for its natural rainforest.EOeo

For our geography lesson, we will explore Unique Geological Features  such as Tsingy de Bemaraha: A UNESCO World Heritage site, this region features towering limestone formations known as "tsingy."
